Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

This Policy explains what personal data Top-RSVP collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers both account holders (event hosts and their helpers) and the guests whose details a host uploads.

1. Data we collect

Account data: your name, email, phone number, and password (stored only as a secure hash). Event data: the details you enter for your event and the guest list you upload — guest names, phone numbers, groups, seat estimates, and RSVP responses. Technical data: basic logs and cookies needed to run the site and remember your language and accessibility preferences.

2. How we use it

To provide the Service: create your account, send the invitations and reminders you schedule, record RSVPs, plan seating, and show you dashboards. To operate and secure the platform, prevent abuse, and provide support. We do not sell your data or your guests’ data.

3. Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to remember your language, theme, and accessibility settings. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

4. Service providers

We share data only with providers that help us run the Service: messaging providers (such as Twilio and TextMe) to deliver WhatsApp and SMS, a payment provider (Tranzila) to process purchases, and hosting and email providers. Payment card details are entered on the payment provider’s page and never reach our servers.

5. Guests’ data

A host uploads guest contact details to invite them. The host is the controller of that data and we process it on the host’s behalf. A guest can ask the host to be removed; if a guest contacts us directly we will pass the request to the relevant host.

6. Retention

We keep account and event data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards, then delete or anonymise it, unless we must keep records for legal, tax, or security reasons.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect data, including encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to notify you of a serious breach as required by law.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and object to certain processing. Contact us using the support address in the app to exercise these rights.

9. International transfers

Our providers may process data outside your country. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards for that transfer.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this Policy and will change the date above when we do. Questions or requests can be sent to the support address shown in the app or on our website.
